Macrobiome
Mixed media (acrylic and oil) on canvas.
(50 cm x 70 cm)
Macrobiome, an extrapolation of microbiome: humans (and other beings) are colonized by many microorganisms; and the human body is inhabited by many non-human cells (half human, half non-human, in about 7 microbiomes per human), organized in synergistic eco-systems... Same thing at a macro level!
All the organisms co-exist in biological interactions: sometimes in harmonious synergy, sometimes in conflicts, sometimes in parasitism...
It's like macro-economy versus micro-economy, or macro-ecosystem versus micro-ecosystem.
In short, we belong to a "universal colonization of macrobiomes"!
